Current OPRI Board Members:

Chair – Jay Osborne (School district)
Jay retired from the North Clackamas school district in 2009 where he was employed as a classified employee and manager for 27 years. During that time, he also was active in the Oregon School District Employees Association.

Vice Chair – Bob Oleson (State government)
Oleson was the public affairs director and lobbyist for the Oregon State Bar for 25 years. Since retirement, he has been operating a consulting company specializing in policy and organizational projects.

Colleen Johnson (Local government)
After serving as an economics professor Eastern Oregon University, Colleen went on to serve as Mayor of La Grande, Oregon.

Deanna Woods (School district)
Deanna retired in 2000 after teaching for 30 years in the Portland Public Schools in high school language arts and composition.

Greg Monahan (Higher education)
Greg retired from Eastern Oregon University, where he served as a professor of history for 26 years.

Helga Thompson (State government)
Helga was a math and science teacher in the public schools for 34 years. During that time, she also was a consultant to school districts in 22 states, working in teacher-training programs and math and science curriculum construction.
