Current OPRI Board Members:

Chair – Jay Osborne (School district)
Jay retired from the North Clackamas school district in 2009 where he was employed as a classified employee and manager for 27 years. During that time, he also was active in the Oregon School District Employees Association.

Vice Chair – Bob Oleson (State government)
Oleson was the public affairs director and lobbyist for the Oregon State Bar for 25 years. Since retirement, he has been operating a consulting company specializing in policy and organizational projects.

John Goodson (Local government)
John retired in 2001 as public works director for Lane County, a position he had held since 1982.

Steven Kunke (School district)
Steve retired in 2012 as an assistant superintendent in the Greater Albany Public Schools system, a position he had held since 2001.

Charles Luukinen (State government)
A native of Astoria, Charles retired in 2010 as a Circuit Court Judge in Polk County after more than 24 years on the bench.

Greg Monahan (Higher education)
Greg retired from Eastern Oregon University, where he served as a professor of history for 26 years.

Helga Thompson (State government)
Helga was a math and science teacher in the public schools for 34 years. During that time, she also was a consultant to school districts in 22 states, working in teacher-training programs and math and science curriculum construction.
